Job Purpose

The Draughtsperson will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, layouts and design documentation to support electrical and solar installation projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the project management and technical teams to translate project requirements into detailed drawings that can be used for planning, installation and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare detailed technical drawings and layouts for electrical and solar installation projects.

· Produce site layouts, electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and installation plans as required.

· Interpret technical specifications, project briefs and site measurements.

· Work closely with Project Managers, engineers and installation teams to understand project requirements.

· Amend and update drawings in accordance with project changes and client requirements.

· Conduct site visits where necessary to obtain measurements and verify existing site conditions.

· Ensure drawings are accurate, practical and meet the required technical standards.

· Assist with preparing drawing packs and technical documentation for project submissions.

· Maintain organised records of drawings, revisions and project documentation.

· Ensure that all drawings are completed within agreed project deadlines.

· Liaise with suppliers, contractors and technical personnel where necessary.

· Provide technical drawing support during the installation and project execution phases.

Minimum Requirements

· Relevant qualification in Draughting, Engineering Draughting or a related technical field.

· Previous experience as a Draughtsperson, preferably within the electrical, solar, construction or engineering industry.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD.

· Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and measurements.

· Knowledge of electrical layouts and solar installation drawings would be advantageous.

· Understanding of technical drawing standards and conventions.
