Job Summary
A well-established leader in the chemical and manufacturing sector is seeking a skilled and dedicated Engineering Foreman to join their team. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a high-pressure maintenance environment and is committed to ensuring operational excellence through effective team management.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a multi-disciplinary maintenance team to ensure maximum plant availability.
Oversee the planning and execution of preventative and corrective maintenance schedules.
Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
Manage workshop resources, spare parts inventory, and external contractors.
Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize engineering processes.
Requirements:
Minimum of an N4 qualification in Engineering.
At least 5 years of experience in a maintenance environment.
Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or team management capacity.
A recognized Trade Test is highly desirable.
Strong technical knowledge of industrial plant machinery and systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
