Job Summary
We are seeking a Logistics Process Engineer to support operational excellence within a contract logistics environment.The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing current logistics processes, identifying areas for improvement, and leading projects to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost savings. This role will also involve supporting new client implementations and optimizing facility design and layout.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply logistics engineering techniques to improve operational processes and facility design
- Support new client implementations across the network
- Evaluate current logistics processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and cost savings
- Design and implement optimized facility layouts and process flows
- Utilize logistics technology and IT systems to enhance operations
- Evaluate and improve the use of warehousing software and tools
- Develop logistics metrics, KPIs, and analysis tools to measure performance
- Analyze logistics data across customer service, forecasting, procurement, transportation, and warehousing
- Prepare documentation for logistics reporting and management information systems
- Conduct logistics studies, such as time studies and flow-path analyses
- Perform additional duties as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or related field
- 3–7+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics engineering, or supply chain optimization
- Proven experience in process reengineering, KPI improvement, and cost reduction initiatives
- Experience with automation and digitization of warehouse processes is an advantage
- Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification is preferred
- Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, Power Query)
- SQL, Python, Power BI or Tableau
- Simulation, modeling & layout tools (AnyLogic, AutoMod, AutoCAD)
- Familiarity with WMS, TMS, and ERP systems
- Knowledge of automation solutions (AGVs, AMRs, conveyors, robotics)
- Experience with IoT, RFID, and AI-based warehouse solutions
