Job Summary
Hire Resolve's client, a reputable construction firm based in Durban, is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to oversee large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing contracts, ensuring compliance, and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders while delivering projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the contractual aspects of multiple projects from inception to completion.
- Negotiate contract terms with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and compliance with the contract terms.
- Handle disputes and claims effectively, ensuring risk is minimized.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams regarding contract interpretation and compliance.
- Prepare periodic reports on contract performance and project status.
- Collaborate with legal teams and other stakeholders to facilitate contract execution.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in contracts management within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of contract law and procurement processes.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in managing large-scale construction contracts is preferred.
