Job Summary
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the mechanical design and development of specialized equipment and engineered solutions
- Taking concepts from idea through design, prototyping, testing and production
- Solving complex mechanical, hydraulic and manufacturing challenges
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, production, suppliers and customers
- Driving continuous improvement and product innovation
- Mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior engineers
- Contributing to the long-term technical strategy of the business
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years post-graduate mechanical design experience
- Proven experience designing heavy industrial, mining, hydraulic, fluid power, mobile equipment or capital equipment systems
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD design software
- Sound understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and engineering principles
- Ability to balance innovation with practical, commercially viable design solutions
- A demonstrated track record of solving complex engineering challenges
