You will step into a role where:
- Costing models are not static — they evolve with reality
- Tendering is not reactive — it is strategic
- Internal sales is not admin — it is a performance driver
You will be trusted to interrogate how things are costed, why margins move, and where risk hides — then build systems that the business can rely on.
Your impact will be felt across:
- Equipment costing methodology and model accuracy
- Tender quality, pricing strategy, and commercial positioning
- Internal sales efficiency and quotation integrity
- The alignment between engineering, procurement, and production realities
This role requires more than technical competence. It demands judgement.
What you bring:
- A Mechanical Engineering qualification
- At least 8 years of experience in costing, estimating, or proposals within an engineered-to-order environment
- Advanced Excel capability — not just formulas, but modelling logic
- A deep understanding of BOMs, fabrication, and manufacturing cost drivers
- The ability to lead, influence, and improve systems — not just operate within them
Experience in water and wastewater, pumps, valves, or heavy engineering environments will give you a strong edge.
What sets you apart: You don’t accept numbers at face value.
You question them.
You rebuild them.
And you stand by them when it matters.
If you are ready to take ownership of a function that directly impacts profitability, scalability, and market competitiveness, this role offers exactly that.
