? POSITION OVERVIEW
The Field Application Engineer will provide technical expertise and customer support in the field while building strong relationships with clients. You will act as a brand ambassador, contributing to business development, market expansion, and product excellence.? KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Application & Customer Support✔ Deliver field application support to customers
✔ Conduct regular customer visits to maintain relationships and identify opportunities
✔ Act as a brand ambassador for the company’s products and services
✔ Provide tailored interconnect solutions and technical recommendations
✔ Support customer database growth and accuracy
Product & Technical Ownership
✔ Attain full technical knowledge of products and applications
✔ Take ownership of product performance, updates, and market application
✔ Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Admin, Stores, Accounts, Management)
✔ Provide internal training and technical assistance as required
Customer, Supplier & Market Engagement
✔ Develop strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders
✔ Assist with marketing activities, events, and promotional initiatives
✔ Provide market intelligence to management to support continuous improvement
✔ Foster partnerships with current and potential suppliers
Business Development & Expansion
✔ Identify and pursue targeted business opportunities
✔ Support strategic expansion into new markets and regions
? MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
✔ Grade 12 certificate✔ Recognized technical qualification (preferably Mechatronics)
✔ 1–3 years’ experience in technical sales (advantageous)
✔ Strong technical acumen and ability to communicate complex concepts
? CORE COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
✔ Self-motivated, customer-focused, detail-oriented✔ Problem-solving aptitude and strong team collaboration
✔ Ability to explain complex technical concepts simply
✔ Proficiency with CRM software and sales tools
✔ Knowledge of industry standards and RF engineering protocols
✔ Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and coordination skills
✔ Experience with technical presentations, proposals, and RFP responses
✔ Excellent verbal and written communication
✔ Effective time management and ability to manage multiple projects
