Job Summary
The firm delivers public-impact infrastructure across the country, specialising in water and sanitation, civil and structural engineering, housing, healthcare facilities, electrical and mechanical systems, environmental services, and project management.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct scoping and condition assessments and prepare detailed reports.
- Manage planning, design, and construction projects from inception to completion.
- Lead and schedule electrical engineering resources to meet project deadlines.
- Prepare tender documentation and comprehensive reports across all project stages.
- Responsible for electrical building services design and urban/rural reticulation systems.
- Administer electrical engineering contracts and act as the Engineer as defined in contract terms.
- Oversee construction quality, monitor progress, and resolve technical queries.
- Lead site and technical meetings and prepare minutes and technical documentation.
- Review Quality Control Plans and Construction Method Statements.
- Prepare payment valuations and measure electrical/electronic installations.
- Maintain strong client and professional team communication.
- Assist in dispute resolution and ensure environmental and safety compliance.
- Support business development activities for the Electrical Engineering team.
- Perform general office and administrative duties related to projects.
Requirements:
- B.Eng, B.Sc (Eng), or B.Tech Eng in Electrical Engineering.
- Registered with ECSA as PrEng or PrTech Eng, with 5–15 years post-registration experience.
- 10–20 years post-graduate experience.
- Strong background in building services and engineering project management.
- Experience with municipal electrical building services, PV systems, fire detection, and electronics.
- Proven experience in reticulation and distribution (urban and rural).
- Exposure to Health, Education, and Public Works projects.
- BIM experience (BIM360, ACC Docs/Build/Collaborate) is advantageous.
- Relux proficiency required; Dialux is advantageous.
- AutoCAD proficiency required, Revit MEP is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license and own transport.
