Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s Degree or MBA advantageous)
Requirements
- Must carry experience in mining equipment / services supply industry whether through an EPCM or services supplier.
- Have a proven track record of carrying a senior management position and managing 20+ people for a minimum of 15 years.
- Extensive senior leadership experience in the mining or mineral processing industry.
- Proven track record managing large-scale projects, specifically involving grinding and ball mills.
- High technical credibility in heavy engineering and project delivery.
- Commercially astute with strong contract and negotiation skills.
- Strong background in project execution, engineering management, and operations.
- Experience working across Africa or emerging markets is highly desirable.
Duties
- Directing and coordinating the Project Team to ensure the delivery of successful projects, that meet customer satisfaction and exceed budgeted profitability.
- Establish and enforce a structured project reporting framework across all projects, including weekly and monthly portfolio reviews
- Maintain a consolidated view of all active projects and ensure early identification of risks, delays and cash-flow exposure.
- Lead all contractual and commercial management across the project portfolio, including claims, variations, notices and risk mitigation.
- Ensure strict control of project invoicing, cash collection and commercial milestones across all projects.
- Provide senior oversight and support to Project Managers, stepping into projects where required to protect schedule, margin and client relationships.
- Act as the escalation point for all project risks and intervene where necessary to protect company position.
- Providing Strong Leadership to employees, ensuring high morale, teamwork, and good employee relations at all levels.
- Support the development of the company’s strategic plan with the Board and ensure effective implementation
- Develop the Strategic plan, along with the Board, to ensure maximum growth and profit objectives and overseeing the implementation thereof.
- Review and formulate the Organisational structure to best meet project and company deliverables, by ensuring all departments in the organization are properly staffed and managed.
- Analyse current systems and assets, recommend, and implement solutions and upgrades to proactively manage the projects department and introduce innovation to continue our path and vision of becoming one of the world’s leading Grinding Mill OEM Suppliers
