Electrician

The lodge is seeking a qualified and dependable Electrician responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems across the property. This includes guest accommodation, staff housing, kitchens, offices, maintenance areas, and outdoor infrastructure. The Electrician will ensure that all electrical systems operate safely and efficiently to support the smooth running of the lodge and maintain a high standard of guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems throughout the lodge property.
  

• Conduct routine inspections of electrical infrastructure including distribution boards, wiring, lighting systems, and power outlets.
  

• Maintain and repair generators, solar power systems, inverters, and battery backup systems where applicable.
  

• Troubleshoot electrical faults and respond promptly to breakdowns or power interruptions.
  

• Install and maintain lighting systems for guest areas, pathways, staff accommodation, and operational facilities.
  

• Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations and applicable electrical standards.
  

• Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and maintenance team on infrastructure upgrades and projects.
  

• Maintain electrical tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory.
  

• Assist with preventative maintenance programs to reduce electrical failures.
  

• Provide support during emergency situations to restore electrical systems quickly and safely
  

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician with relevant trade certification.
  

• Proven experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in hospitality, lodge, or large property environments.
  

• Knowledge of generators, solar systems, and backup power systems is advantageous.
  

• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
  

• Ability to work independently and manage electrical maintenance tasks effectively.
  

• Valid driver’s licence preferred.
  

• Willingness to live and work in a remote lodge environment if required.
