Job Summary
On any given day, an operator may unload raw materials, prepare a test run to ensure a machine is working properly, inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Set up or program the computer responsible for the machinery
- Follow safety requirements and maintain certifications
- Inspect the machinery and product for quality assurance
- Perform daily maintenance on the machinery
- Handle materials appropriately and safely
- Grade 12 with Mathematics (not Maths Literacy)
- NQF Level 5 as a Fitter Turner, Tool Maker or Turner Machinist (Artisan)
- CNC Certificate and/or CNC Qualifications will be advantageous
- At least 3 years' experience as a CNC Operator
- Ability to programme, setup and operate CNC Machines
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Ability to use various measuring tools and work with minimum tolerance
- Clear criminal record and no pending criminal cases
