My client is looking for an experienced Proposals Engineer to join their team in Robertsham and play a critical role in transforming customer requirements into technically sound, commercially competitive and winning proposals. Be able to combine technical expertise with commercial thinking to develop high-value engineering proposals and integrated solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working across tenders, quotations, engineering design, customers, suppliers and internal project teams. You will be responsible for: Preparing technical & commercial quotations across E-Houses, Container Substations, MCCs & MV Switchgear Developing integrated solutions incorporating transformers, HVAC, fire protection, UPS systems, BTUs and ancillary equipment Preparing complete tender returnables, including datasheets, schedules, deviations, clarifications and exclusions Developing cost-effective and technically competitive solutions Negotiating supplier discounts and optimizing proposal costs Participating in customer clarification and tender meetings Collaborating with Engineering, Projects, Sales and Legal teams Conducting Commercial Risk Evaluations (CREs) Producing GAs, SLDs, layout drawings and other engineering designs Requirements: Matric Electrical National Diploma or equivalent 3–5 years’ technical experience in packaged switchgear solutions Strong exposure to MV & LV systems Understanding of LV systems up to 1000V and MV systems up to 33kV.Error!
