Job Summary
Company Description:Our client is seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join their growing automation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications, configuring industrial networks, integrating robotics and motion control systems, and commissioning automated manufacturing solutions.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver innovative control systems while supporting installation, troubleshooting, production ramp-ups, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers a structured career path into a future Control Systems Supervisor position, providing leadership development and project management exposure.
Education:
National Diploma or Degree in one of the following fields:

- Electronic Engineering
- Process Instrumentation
- Analytical Chemistry
- Chemical Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience within industrial automation and control systems environments.
- Experience with PLC programming and automation system development.
- Strong knowledge of Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff, Mitsubishi, or Omron platforms.
- Experience developing and supporting HMI and SCADA systems.
- Exposure to industrial networking protocols including Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, and serial communications.
- Experience integrating robotics, machine vision, and motion control systems.
- Strong commissioning, troubleshooting, and fault-finding experience.
- Exposure to automotive manufacturing environments will be advantageous.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally for project commissioning activities.
- Strong technical documentation and reporting abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and client-facing communication skills.
- Valid driver's licence
