The successful candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of PLC hardware, VSDs, servo systems, and industrial control systems, coupled with proven fault-finding abilities and leadership experience.
Education:
- Relevant tertiary qualification such as an N Diploma, BTech, National Diploma, or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field
- Candidates currently pursuing a relevant qualification will also be considered
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum 8 years' general industry experience
- Strong understanding of PLC hardware, analogue signals, and digital signals
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Extensive Variable Speed Drive (VSD) knowledge
- Experience with VSD repairs and commissioning
- Knowledge of servo motors and encoder feedback systems
- Strong on-site fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Word
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
- Previous management or supervisory experience advantageous
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
