Job & Company Description:
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Service Technician within their Service Business Department, reporting to the Supervisor / National Service Manager.
The role focuses on delivering high‑quality after‑sales service, including inspection plans, breakdown repairs, planned maintenance, warranty labour, and commissioning. You will also support after‑sales engineers and work closely with service coordinators and spare parts teams to ensure excellent service delivery.
Education:
- Grade 12 or N3 HVAC Diploma (Technical College)
- National Trade Certificate in HVAC & Refrigeration
- Safe Handling of Refrigerant Certificate – Category B (SAQCC)
- Safety training certification
- First Aid Level 1
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- 5–7 years’ experience in HVAC service and maintenance
- Minimum 3 years’ commissioning experience
- Minimum 5 years’ fault-finding experience
- At least 3 years’ installation experience
- Strong interpersonal and customer communication skills
- Good planning and organisational ability
- Strong report writing skills
- Excellent time management
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email)
- Ability to calculate heat loads and general HVAC requirements
