Job & Company Description:

This role is ideal for a technical sales professional who thrives in a competitive environment, understands the mining value chain, and can engage confidently with engineering, procurement, and operations teams.
You will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities, managing key mining accounts, driving product solutions, and achieving revenue targets while delivering exceptional customer service and technical support. The role involves frequent client site visits, product presentations, and collaboration with internal engineering teams.
Education:
- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering (essential)
- Additional training in sales or business development (advantageous)
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical sales of electrical equipment within the mining industry
- Solid understanding of:
- Motors, drives, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, protection systems, lighting solutions, and general LV/HV equipment
- Mining processes and electrical infrastructure
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and growing key accounts
- Ability to perform product demonstrations and provide technical recommendations
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across engineering, operations, SHEQ, and procurement
- Experience preparing technical quotations, tenders, proposals, and pricing structures
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to mining sites regionally
- Exposure to HSEQ requirements within mining operations (advantageous)
