Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the development and design of electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring they meet project requirements and engineering standards
- Review and authorise technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Oversee system testing, inspection processes, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Lead and coordinate multiple engineering projects, including resource planning, scheduling, and budget oversight
- Supervise installation and commissioning activities and ensure clear documentation of all work performed
- Develop preventative and predictive maintenance programmes to improve system reliability
- Provide expert support on fault‑finding, troubleshooting, and root‑cause investigations
- Ensure all E&I activities align with ISO 9001:2015 and internal safety procedures
- Drive improvements across processes, systems, and technologies, incorporating industry advancements and automation tools
- Engage and collaborate with clients, project teams, and contractors to ensure technical requirements are met
- Lead, develop, and support engineers, electricians, and instrumentation technicians
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and engineering documentation
- Contribute to departmental planning, performance tracking, and strategic initiatives related to project and business goals
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ECSA registration preferred; Master’s an advantage)
- At least 10 years’ experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position
- Strong technical background in electrical design, industrial instrumentation, and control systems
- Proven experience working with PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and automation technologies
- Excellent understanding of electrical safety regulations and compliance standards
- Skilled in CAD design, technical documentation, and engineering drawing management
- Ability to manage engineering teams and coordinate complex technical projects
- Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
