Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and development of electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring alignment with engineering standards and project requirements
- Review and approve engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation
- Lead system testing, inspection, and quality checks to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
- Manage multiple engineering projects, including budgeting, planning, resource allocation, and risk control
- Supervise installation and commissioning activities, ensuring accurate documentation and system validation
- Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot system failures, leading root‑cause investigations and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, electrical safety legislation, industry standards, and company procedures
- Drive continuous improvement, incorporating new technologies, automation tools, and best‑practice engineering methods
- Engage with customers, internal departments, and external stakeholders to ensure requirements and expectations are met
- Lead and develop the E&I team, including engineers, technicians, and electricians
- Prepare technical reports, performance data, and project documentation
- Contribute to departmental planning, budgeting, and strategic initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- ECSA Registration highly desirable; Master’s degree advantageous
- At least 10 years electrical and instrumentation engineering experience, including 3 years in a management role
- Strong proficiency in electrical design, instrumentation, and control systems
- Experience with PLCs, DCS, SCADA, industrial automation, and networked control systems
- Strong understanding of electrical safety standards, risk management, and compliance
- Proficiency in CAD software and engineering documentation
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Experience managing technical teams and delivering projects in industrial environments.
