Job Summary
Role Overview Responsible for managing the construction of road and highway lighting projects in accordance with SANRAL standards, approved designs, and FIDIC Conditions of Contract. Ensures safe, compliant, and timely delivery of works. Key Responsibilities * Manage and coordinate road lighting construction works, including poles, luminaires, cabling, and control systems. * Ensure compliance with SANRAL specifications, drawings, and contractual requirements. * Monitor progress against programme and implement corrective measures where delays occur. * Enforce compliance with the OHS Act, project HSE plans, and traffic accommodation requirements. * Oversee quality control, inspections, testing, and close-out of NCRs. * Verify contractor performance, claims, variations, and KPIs. * Coordinate contractors, consultants, and authorities during construction. * Chair site meetings and submit progress, safety, and compliance reports. Minimum Requirements - Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management. - Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Professional Technologist - 5+ years’ experience on SANRAL or similar road infrastructure projects. - SACPCMP as Construction Manager - Proven experience in road lighting, electrical infrastructure, or highway works. - Working knowledge of FIDIC contracts, SANRAL standards, and CIDB Requirements. - Strong leadership, reporting, and coordination skills.Error!
