Job Summary
As a Building Services Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of electrical building services solutions across commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial, and mixed-use developments. You will work closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure designs meet industry standards, client requirements, and project objectives from concept through to commissioning.
Education:
- BEng/BSc Electrical Engineering
- Building Services specialization advantageous
- Professional registration or progress towards registration advantageous
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- 5+ years' experience within a building services or consulting engineering environment
- Experience designing electrical building services systems
- Power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, and small power design experience
- Electrical load calculations, cable sizing, fault level studies, and voltage drop calculations
- Strong knowledge of building services standards and regulations
- AutoCAD and Revit proficiency
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Exposure to construction support, site inspections, testing, and commissioning activities
- Technical report writing and specification development
- Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
