? POSITION OVERVIEW
The Electrical Engineer – Power Protection will develop, implement, and maintain protection schemes to safeguard power networks. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors to deliver technically sound and reliable solutions on time and within budget.? KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
✔ Design and review protection schemes for transmission and distribution networks✔ Perform protection coordination studies, fault analysis, and relay settings calculations
✔ Configure and test protection relays and associated control systems
✔ Support commissioning and troubleshooting of protection systems on site
✔ Develop technical reports, drawings, and documentation
✔ Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards and safety regulations
✔ Collaborate with project teams, clients, and contractors to deliver projects efficiently
✔ Participate in maintenance and upgrades of existing protection systems
? MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering✔ Experience in power system protection or related field
✔ Knowledge of protection relays and systems from Siemens, Schneider Electric, ABB, or GE Grid Solutions
✔ Experience with power system analysis software (ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, SKM Power Tools)
✔ Strong understanding of protection principles (overcurrent, differential, distance, earth fault, etc.)
✔ Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
✔ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
