Job Summary
Purpose:
The Foreman coordinates on-site construction activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. The role supervises personnel, monitors progress, and ensures compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily activities of workers and subcontractors.
Ensure kerbing, paving, and civil works meet design and quality standards.
Plan work schedules, allocate tasks, and manage labour/equipment efficiently.
Conduct site inspections, enforce safety protocols, and maintain accurate records.
Report delays, incidents, and resource issues to management.
Provide guidance and training to site workers; keep the site organized.
Attend site meetings and support project planning.
Requirements:
Matric / Grade 12; National Certificate/Diploma in Construction or Civil Engineering advantageous.
3–5 years’ experience supervising construction teams, particularly in kerbing/paving.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, equipment, and OHS regulations.
Valid driver’s license.
