The Opportunity
As Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of major EPC and EPCM projects across the water, wastewater, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
You will lead project execution from initial planning through procurement, construction, commissioning, and final handover while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, commercial performance, and client satisfaction.
This role offers exposure to complex projects, challenging environments, and the opportunity to contribute to sustainable infrastructure development across Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the successful execution of large-scale EPC and EPCM projects.
- Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, resources, and risk.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams across process, mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
- Oversee procurement activities, subcontractor management, and vendor performance.
- Drive construction execution and commissioning activities through to operational handover.
- Manage project financial performance, forecasting, cost control, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across all project activities.
Requirements
- BEng Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Engineering Degree.
- PMP certification will be advantageous.
- Minimum 15 years' experience within engineering, construction, EPC, or EPCM project environments.
- Demonstrated success managing multidisciplinary capital projects.
- Experience within water treatment, wastewater treatment, desalination, industrial utilities, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong commercial, contractual, and stakeholder management experience.
- Proven leadership capability with the ability to manage diverse project teams.
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
