WatersEdge Solutions is partnering with a specialist electrical business to find a Qualified Electrician with a strong interest in, or ideally hands-on experience across, industrial and agricultural electrical systems.

This is not a typical domestic or construction wiring position. The work is more specialised, supporting agricultural and industrial clients with equipment such as pumps, pivots, motors, VSDs, starter panels and control wiring. While an experienced candidate is preferred, there is also scope to consider a newly qualified Electrician with the right technical foundation and willingness to be trained.

About the Role

The successful Electrician will work across specialised agricultural and industrial electrical applications, with a strong focus on practical field work.

The ideal candidate will already have experience working with pumps, irrigation pivots, electric motors, variable speed drives (VSDs), starter panels and control wiring. Someone whose experience has been predominantly domestic or residential wiring is unlikely to have the technical exposure required for this position.

For a less experienced but qualified Electrician, the business is willing to provide training and development. Remuneration will reflect the individual's level of practical experience and ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical work across agricultural and industrial environments.

• Work with electrical systems associated with pumps and irrigation equipment.

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot electric motors.

• Work with VSDs (Variable Speed Drives) and associated electrical systems.

• Install, maintain and fault-find starter panels.

• Carry out control wiring and associated electrical work.

• Diagnose electrical faults and identify appropriate solutions.

• Support agricultural clients, including farmers, with specialised electrical requirements.

• Support industrial clients with electrical maintenance and technical requirements.

• Carry out installations, repairs and maintenance safely and to the required standard.

• Develop broader technical capability across the company's specialist electrical systems where training is required.

What You’ll Bring

• Qualified Electrician.

• Practical electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting ability.

• A strong interest in industrial and agricultural electrical systems.

• Ideally, previous hands-on experience with pumps, pivots, motors, VSDs, starter panels and control wiring.

• Ability to work practically in agricultural and industrial environments.

• A willingness to learn and develop within a specialised electrical field.

• A reliable, hands-on approach to work.

• Ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.

Nice to Have

• Previous agricultural electrical experience.

• Previous industrial electrical experience.

• Experience working directly with farmers or agricultural operations.

• Irrigation pivot electrical experience.

• Pump installation, maintenance or fault-finding experience.

• Strong motor control and control-panel experience.

• Experience independently diagnosing and resolving faults on VSDs, motors and starter systems.
