Job Summary
Job Title: Senior Project/Contracts Manager (Msikaba, Eastern Cape)
Main Purpose:
Manage site operations, optimizing financial performance and implementing systems and controls (e.g., costing, programme management, QA/QC, HSE).
Responsibilities:
- Oversee large, complex infrastructure projects safely.
- Ensure projects meet or exceed budgeted turnover and profitability.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers, and engage in project planning.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
- Provide management reports and assist Site Managers with operational issues.
- Implement Group initiatives and support tender submissions.
- Train, mentor, and manage subordinate Site Managers.
Qualifications:
- Degree/diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Registered professional with SACPCMP.
- Minimum 15 years of project management experience in construction, particularly in Bridges, Roads, and Earthworks.
- Valid driver’s license and South African citizenship required.
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Strong project management and analytical abilities.
- Familiar with CCS estimating and planning modules, OHS Act, and various contract specifications (e.g., FIDIC, GCC, NEC).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
