The Opportunity
In this role, you'll engage directly with mining and mineral processing clients, assessing technical requirements, developing process solutions, compiling competitive tenders, and providing technical leadership through project handover and commissioning.This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys variety, autonomy, and the satisfaction of seeing projects progress from concept through to successful implementation.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Evaluating client enquiries and determining technical feasibility
- Developing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Performing process calculations and equipment sizing
- Preparing technical proposals and commercial tenders
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Managing technical clarifications, design revisions, and negotiations
- Supporting commissioning activities and troubleshooting plant performance challenges
- Facilitating seamless project handovers to execution teams
Who We're Looking For
You are more than a Process Engineer. You're someone who can confidently move between technical discussions, commercial conversations, and operational problem-solving.Requirements
- BEng Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years' experience in process design, proposals engineering, or technical sales within the mining industry
- Strong understanding of metallurgical processes, process engineering principles, flowsheets, and instrumentation diagrams
- Proven ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities
- Valid driver's license and own transport
- Willingness to travel to mine sites when required
