Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead and strengthen procurement and contract management functions within a fast-paced operational environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing procurement strategies that support cost efficiency, compliance, and operational excellence across the business.
This role combines strategic procurement oversight with hands-on operational execution, ensuring effective supplier management, contract lifecycle governance, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Contract Management
- Manage end-to-end tender processes including sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and awarding of contracts
- Lead contract negotiations and support drafting, reviewing, and execution of agreements
- Ensure all contracts align with legal, compliance, and company policy requirements
- Monitor contract performance, extensions, amendments, and terminations
- Conduct spend analysis to identify cost-saving and sourcing opportunities
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services in line with operational requirements
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide expert procurement guidance and ensure alignment with business needs
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and SLA monitoring
- Address service level breaches and implement corrective actions where required
- Facilitate regular supplier engagement and performance meetings
Reporting, Data & Compliance
- Maintain accurate contract registers and procurement documentation
- Prepare weekly and ad-hoc procurement and supplier performance reports
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and governance frameworks
- Monitor procurement risks and support risk mitigation initiatives
- Maintain audit-ready records of all procurement activities
Risk & Governance
- Ensure procurement practices comply with relevant policies and regulations
- Support policy development, updates, and annual reviews
- Identify supplier and contractual risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Investigate contract breaches and ensure corrective actions are implemented
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in procurement, preferably within mining, logistics, or a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong experience in contract management and supplier negotiations
- Advanced MS Excel and MS Office proficiency
- Strong analytical, administrative, and organisational skills
