Job Summary
Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking to employ an Export Coordinator to join their team based in Elandsfontein.
Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or International Trade – advantageous
- Knowledge of Incoterms and export procedures
- Understanding of SARS compliance and export documentation requirements
- 2–5 years’ experience in an export coordination or logistics role
- Experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment – advantageous
Responsibilities
Export Coordination and Administration:
- Plan and execute export shipments via road, rail, sea, or air
- Process and capture export orders on SAP
- Prepare and manage all export documentation (Commercial Invoices, SADC certificates, Letters of Origin, etc.)
- Maintain accurate shipping records and tracking sheets
- Archive export documentation in line with compliance standards
Customer and Stakeholder Communication:
- Liaise with internal departments, customers, and transporters
- Provide regular shipment updates and feedback to clients
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Planning and Reporting:
- Create and manage sales order priority lists
- Conduct customer age analysis and participate in forecasting meetings
- Generate reports on sales performance and customer activity
- Compile and distribute meeting minutes
Logistics and Shipment Management:
- Coordinate with warehouse on stock availability and load planning
- Arrange transport, insurance, and inspection requirements
- Track shipments and ensure timely delivery
- Manage transporter communication and documentation handover
Financial and Compliance Duties:
- Raise purchase requisitions (PRs) for transport and inspection costs
- Capture and monitor costs on SAP
- Ensure all export documentation complies with SARS requirements
- Support internal and external audits
Problem Solving and Support:
- Investigate export queries, discrepancies, and short deliveries
- Assist with process improvements and compliance projects
Required Skills and Competencies
