Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has opened up for a skilled Electrical Designer to join a dynamic and growing engineering team based in Johannesburg. If you’re passionate about designing world-class MCCs, PLC panels, and control systems, and want to work on innovative, high-impact projects—this one’s for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Create detailed electrical schematics and layouts for MCCs, PLC panels, DBs, and Control Panels using Eplan Electric P8 and AutoCAD.
Select and specify appropriate electrical components based on technical, safety, and cost requirements.
Ensure full compliance with relevant electrical standards and regulations.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and workshop teams to deliver high-quality designs.
Troubleshoot and resolve design-related technical challenges independently and within a team.
Requirements:
4–5 years of hands-on experience in electrical design within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Qualification in Electrical Engineering or a National Diploma.
Proficient in Eplan Electric P8 and AutoCAD (essential).
Strong understanding of panel design, component selection, and control systems.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
