Job Summary
Are you an accomplished, strategic supply chain leader looking for your next career-defining move? A global leader in mineral-based specialty solutions is seeking a highly experienced professional to take on the pivotal role of Customer Services Logistics Manager.
Despite the operational title, this is a senior executive leadership position responsible for steering the overall supply chain strategy, managing key export logistics, optimizing warehousing operations, and elevating customer service standards across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Drive the strategic vision for the South African supply chain operations, aligning export strategies, logistics, and warehouse management with overall business objectives.
Team Management & Development: Lead, mentor, and empower a team of Customer Service and Logistics Specialists in RSA. Foster a positive work environment, manage staff performance, and provide ongoing guidance to ensure high-quality service delivery for internal and external customers.
Operational Oversight: Oversee day-to-day workflows to guarantee on-time task completion, optimal operational efficiency, and maximum customer satisfaction.
Process Standardization & Improvement: Champion continuous improvement initiatives, standardize key processes, and implement best-in-class operational practices.
Exports & Warehousing: Direct complex export operations and oversee multi-site warehousing networks to ensure seamless distribution and strict compliance.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Engineering, Post Graduate qualifications beneficial
Experience: Extensive senior-level leadership experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Export Management, and Warehousing within Mining and minerals.
Strategic Vision: Proven track record of developing and executing supply chain strategies that drive business growth and operational excellence.
Leadership Capabilities: Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams, manage performance, and cultivate a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Export Expertise: In-depth knowledge of international trade, South African export regulations, and global logistics channels.
Customer Focus: Strong background in customer service management with a commitment to maintaining exceptional service quality standards.
