This Business Development Manager role forms part of a high-performing Sales and Marketing division and is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth across an established portfolio of financial advisors while expanding the advisor network through targeted recruitment initiatives.
You will be responsible for implementing strategic growth initiatives, strengthening advisor performance, and driving the adoption of innovative digital solutions that enhance productivity, client engagement, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of approximately 45 financial advisors.
- Develop and implement annual growth plans, targets, and business development strategies for advisors.
- Identify and execute revenue growth opportunities through cross-selling, business development initiatives, and increased product adoption.
- Drive the adoption and utilization of approved technologies and digital platforms to improve advisor productivity and client engagement.
- Monitor advisor performance, identify growth barriers, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Recruit high-quality financial advisors in line with strategic business objectives.
- Facilitate advisor onboarding, integration, development, and performance management.
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with advisors and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, technology, and operational teams to support growth initiatives.
- Deliver training, coaching, and development support to advisors to enhance business performance.
- Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, CRM, activity, and revenue reporting.
- Monitor and report on agreed business development KPIs and revenue targets.
Job Experience and Skills Required
- Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in financial services sales, business development, distribution, or advisor management.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue growth and commercial targets.
- Experience working with financial advisors and wealth management professionals.
- Strong understanding of investment products, financial planning, life insurance, and short-term insurance.
- Experience using CRM systems and digital business development tools.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to translate business strategy into practical execution plans.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
