Job Summary
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide QS and cost consulting services across the full project life cycle, including cost estimating, planning, control, feasibility studies, value and whole-life costing. Advise on budgets, cost limits and risks, and provide procurement and tender support, including tender analysis and contract award. Prepare BOQs, tender documentation, valuations, payment applications and final accounts. Manage commercial and contract administration, including negotiations, variations, claims and dispute resolution. Undertake asset capitalisation and insurance valuations, prepare PQQ documentation, and support 5M project management covering Manpower, Machinery, Materials, Money and Time. Provide general project management support, including TM3 mining contract administration and reporting.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Approximately 3 years’ QS experience, preferably with mining exposure, and a relevant Quantity Surveying qualification (BSc/BTech/BSc Honors or equivalent). SACQSP registration or progress towards registration is advantageous. Knowledge of JBCC, NEC, FIDIC and/or PROCSA is preferred. Strong measurement, cost planning and financial control skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work hands-on and on-site, including travel to remote locations. A dynamic, solutions-driven approach and strong communication skills are essential.
