Job Summary
Description:Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Social Performance Superintendent to join their mining company based in Mpumalanga. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing Social Performance strategies that foster positive community relations, ensure regulatory compliance and support sustainable socio-economic development in communities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Social Performance strategy development and execution.
- Ensure ESG and ICMM alignment in all Social Performance activities.
- Prepare and present Social Performance reports and compliance documentation.
- Lead and develop the Social Performance team.
- Champion community engagement programmes that foster trust and collaboration.
- Oversee Social Performance strategies aligned with corporate sustainability goals.
- Monitor and report on social impact metrics to ensure compliance and transparency.
- Manage stakeholder engagement processes and community relations.
- Partner with local communities, Traditional Leaders, NGOs and government bodies to deliver shared value.
- Oversee Social and Labour Plan (SLP) implementation.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Honours or Post Graduate Degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences or related
- Minimum 8-10 years' experience in Social Performance within the mining industry
- Minimum 3-5 years' in a managerial/supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of ICMM, ESG, BBBEE, Mining Charter and Social and Labour Plan (SLP) requirements
- Extensive experience in stakeholder and community engagement.
- Proven experience in managing social performance and community development programmes.
- Valid Driver's License
