Job Summary
Description:Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Mine Manager to join their mining company based in the Northern Cape. You will be responsible for leading life-of-mine planning and production execution by driving operational excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and achieving safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the life-of-mine planning process
- Drive continuous improvement through operational excellence initiatives
- Develop, implement, monitor, and report on production strategies, plans, schedules, and activities
- Provide directional support across mining and plant operations to achieve production objectives
- Conduct inspections and assessments to improve pit performance, orebody knowledge, and resource optimisation
- Ensure accurate tracking and communication of progress against plan
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures in line with mining, safety, and legislative requirements
- Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and operational standards
- Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
- Collaborate closely with appointed legal appointees and operational teams to achieve production targets
- Promote discipline, cost control, operational efficiency, and a strong safety culture
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering
- Mine Manager's Certificate if Competency
- A minimum of 15 years’ experience in the mining industry, of which at least 5–8 years' must be in a 3.1 legal appointment
- Extensive experience in open pit mining operations
- Valid Driver's License
