Job Summary
Description:Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Plant Manager to join their mining company based in the Northern Cape. You will be responsible for overseeing the engineering, maintenance and operational performance of the processing plant, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient plant operations while maintaining compliance with statutory, safety and engineering requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the engineering and maintenance functions of a large-scale processing plant.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure safe, reliable and efficient plant performance.
- Ensure the effective operation and maintenance of crushing and processing equipment, including jaw and cone crushers.
- Take accountability for plant availability, equipment reliability and production performance.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, legal, safety and engineering requirements within the processing plant.
- Lead planned and unplanned maintenance activities and ensure effective preventative maintenance strategies are implemented.
- Manage engineering projects, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives within the plant.
- Monitor equipment performance, identify operational risks and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 15 years’ experience within the mining industry, preferably within Iron Ore and/or Manganese operations
- Extensive experience managing a concentrator, primarily involving jaw and cone crushers
- Proven experience in a 2.6.1 legal appointment within a processing plant environment
- Valid Driver's License
Benefits:
- Salary: R1.5mil - R1.6mil P/A
