Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Estimator to lead the estimating process and contribute to the successful delivery of construction and renovation projects across various sectors. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in commercial, retail, industrial, residential, or healthcare construction.
Duties:
- Prepare detailed and accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
- Analyze tender documents and specifications to identify project scope.
- Compile competitive bids that balance cost, quality, and risk.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes and negotiate where necessary.
- Manage the tender process from enquiry to submission.
- Perform value engineering and cost optimization without compromising quality.
- Assess project risks and advise on contingencies.
- Monitor market trends and material pricing to maintain accurate cost databases.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience in construction estimating, with senior-level exposure.
- Proven experience estimating for commercial, residential, retail, industrial, or healthcare projects.
- Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proficient with estimating software such as CCS Candy, CostX, or BuildSmart.
