Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven Contracts / Construction Manager to lead and manage the successful delivery of construction and renovation projects across various sectors. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in commercial, retail, industrial, residential, or healthcare construction.
Duties:
- Manage end-to-end project delivery from planning to handover.
- Oversee site operations and coordinate the timely procurement and delivery of materials.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations.
- Supervise and support site teams, subcontractors, and external vendors.
- Draft, review, and manage contracts with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor compliance with contractual terms, building regulations, and industry standards.
- Address and resolve contractual disputes, claims, and variations.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all contract-related documentation.
- Manage project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Approve subcontractor claims, progress payments, and variations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks of budget overruns.
- Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Enforce site safety policies and statutory compliance.
- Lead and mentor project and site teams to achieve performance, quality, and safety goals.
Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years' experience as a Contracts or Construction Manager.
- Proven track record managing projects in commercial, retail, industrial, residential, or healthcare construction.
- Strong understanding of contract law, construction methodology, and project delivery frameworks.
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites.
