JOB POSITION: BUSINESS SYSTEM ARCHITECT

Overview:

We are seeking a Business Systems Architect for the Business Intelligence Unit, who will be responsible for designing and overseeing the architecture of BI systems and data platforms. This position ensures that all BI solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with organizational objectives, thereby supporting accurate and efficient data-driven decision-making.

Architecture Design: Develop and maintain the overall architecture for business systems, ensuring integration and interoperability across platforms.

Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

System Integration: Design and oversee integration strategies between internal and external systems.

Governance & Standards: Establish and enforce architecture standards, best practices, and compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

Technology Evaluation: Assess emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve business processes and system performance

Prepare reports for presentation to the IT Steercom

Documentation: Create and maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and system roadmaps.

Key Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory. Equivalent experience, certifications, or other relevant qualifications will also be considered.
• Minimum 5–8 years in IT architecture or systems design roles
• Proven experience with ERP, CRM, and enterprise integration platforms
• Previous experience in the construction industry will be advantageous
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English (essential)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong knowledge of system architecture principles, cloud technologies, and API integration.
• Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, developers, and business units to ensure successful implementation and support of systems
