Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and registered Safety Officer to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment, implementing safety policies, and ensuring adherence to legal requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Registered with SACPCMP (non-negotiable)
- Relevant Health & Safety qualification
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer (preferably in construction / manufacturing / industrial – adjust if needed)
- Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation
- Good administrative and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and enforce compliance
- Own transport (if site-based – add if applicable)
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations
- Conduct site inspections and risk assessments
- Implement and monitor safety policies and procedures
- Maintain safety files and documentation
- Investigate incidents and compile reports
- Conduct safety training and toolbox talks
- Ensure proper use of PPE on-site
- Liaise with management regarding safety compliance
