Auto Electrician needed in Kathu.
Section 13/ 26D Trade.
Grade 12/N3 Technical Certificate.
Valid Driver’s License & Own Vehicle.
All Documents MUST be included with CV.
3 Years minimum working experience Post Trade on related earthmoving equipment.
Komatsu Machinery Experience is a MUST.
Troubleshooting knowledge on machines & standard tool requirements.
Understanding of maintenance philosophy
Conducts hazard identification & risk assessment.
Implement the Komatsu Way 5S sorting, organising, cleaning, ordering & training.
Adhere to SHE policies & procedures.
Stay informed about emergency first aid kits/fire extinguishers & evacuations procedures.
Operate any vehicles (trucks, car, forklift) within safety standards and procedures, even when not supervised.
Check that safety signs & signals are in place.
Report hazardous situations, incidents, or accidents.
Report equipment that is not in good working order, vehicle usage, incidents, overhaul job statistics, problems, issues & product feedback.
Inform the leaders of the work steps & technical issues.
Conduct visual machine/equipment inspection – health condition, breakdowns.
Conduct general inspection in terms of appearance, damage, or missing components.
Inspect for leakages, check machine operations, check rust, check for wrong or missing parts, download machine data, identify cracks visually, take samples (oil, coolants, etc.)
Test & adjust faulty components/parts/systems.
Monitor the functionality of the component/equipment & progress made.
Obtain necessary consumables items/parts/tools from warehouse via approved procedures.
Apply judgement in the replacement or re use of parts.
Gain technical advice or approval to replace a part/component.
Execute mechanical/electrical repairs.
Clean equipment/parts/ components.
Perform basic welding repairs.
Plan equipment service regarding date, workshops, nominations of service, stock & other resources.
Servicing Machines.
Obtain technical advice on complex repairs.
Obtain relevant manuals & resources.
Check that tools/equipment required are available & in good working order.
Remain abreast of changes/decisions implemented regarding key issues/problems/improvement.
Order parts & consumables as per plan.
Overhaul equipment according to procedure.
Inspect equipment for compliance & quality.
Complete component changeout form, commissioning report, customer feedback & warranty certificates.
Plan troubleshooting on equipment.
Conduct fault-finding.
Collect facts about breakdowns.
Measure & compare readings – gauges, multi meters, heat guns, etc. to specifications.
Check specification values against actual values & recommend repair solutions.
Inform the Manager and maintenance planning on R&M Care information, schedules & plans.
Reports inspection results, any abnormalities or damage, problems & issues to Manager.
Plan & prepares for anticipated service calls in conjunction with leadership.
