Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
Conduct site surveys, geotechnical assessments, and feasibility studies for roads, foundations, structures, and civil infrastructure.
Prepare/review engineering drawings, BOQ, schedules, and documents in line with SANS and municipal regulations.
Supervise on-site construction, monitor contractors, and ensure compliance with design, quality, and OHSA safety standards.
Manage material procurement, inspect construction materials, and coordinate with suppliers/subcontractors.
Resolve on-site issues, conduct quality control, and implement corrective actions.
Prepare progress reports, site records, and compliance documents for clients/authorities.
Collaborate with project teams for seamless delivery across provinces.
Assist with project costing, budget tracking, and risk management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (accredited); ECSA registration highly preferred.
Valid legal work authorization in South Africa (citizen, PR, or work permit).
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience on South African construction/infrastructure projects.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SketchUp; knowledge of foundations, roadworks, drainage, SANS, and environmental compliance.
Fluent English; Afrikaans/regional languages a plus.
Strong on-site leadership, organization, attention to detail, safety focus, and stakeholder communication.
Valid South African driver’s license, willingness to travel provincially, and ability to work independently under pressure.
