Job Summary

REQUIREMENT: Diesel mechanic or diesel fitter trade certificate. Minimum four year's experience in underground mining. Own reliable transport. In-depth experience in fault finding and taking both accurate corrective and preventative measures. Experience in working long and irregular hours. RESPONSIBILITIES: Repair and maintenance of diesel engines such as Deutz, Detroit and Perkins. Ensure engines and all the components that help to make the engines operate efficiently. Maintain electronics, such as fuel regulators, emissions controls systems, and timing systems that are often added to original power plants.
