Job Summary
The proposals manager will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and producing all commercial bid responses—ensuring full tender compliance, disciplined commercial governance, and high-quality submissions that maximise win probability while protecting margins.
Key responsibilities
- Lead all commercial bid responses for FEED, EPS, modular ranges, configurables, and bespoke solutions
- Own tender compliance, document structure, formatting standards, and submission quality
- Coordinate contributions from BD, technical sales, engineering, fabrication, procurement, finance, and risk
- Ensure clarity on scope, assumptions, exclusions, interfaces, tie-ins, and deliverables
- Maintain standard BOQs, pricing structures, cost models, work scopes, and commercial templates (Candy, WinEst, etc.)
- Manage the commercial risk register, ensuring proper identification and mitigation of risks
- Drive improvements through lessons learned, win/loss analysis, historical data, and competitor insights
- Protect margins through disciplined review of pricing, deviations, clarifications, and contractual exposure
- Work closely with sales operations regarding CRM accuracy, approval workflows, and status reporting
- Collaborate with marketing and communications to ensure high-quality visuals, diagrams, and narrative quality
