Job Summary
The Role:
The Dealer Principal is responsible for providing strategic, operational, commercial and people leadership across the dealership. The role carries full accountability for the dealership’s overall performance, profitability, compliance, customer satisfaction, brand representation and sustainable growth.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, drive sales and profitability, develop a high-performing team, ensure excellent customer service and maintain strong operational and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies to increase market share, revenue and customer satisfaction.
Take full responsibility for the overall dealership operations and performance.
Drive new and pre-owned vehicle sales, revenue and profitability.
Monitor sales targets, profitability, budgets and expenses.
Lead, motivate and develop the dealership management and sales teams.
Drive exceptional customer service and CSI performance.
Oversee After sales, Service, Parts, Workshop and F & I performance.
Ensure compliance with company, manufacturer and industry standards.
Build strong relationships with customers, manufacturers and key stakeholders.
Identify business opportunities and drive continuous operational improvement.
Requirements
· Matric / Grade 12
· National Higher Diploma in Business Management, Commerce, Finance or a related field
· Bachelor's Degree will be advantageous
· Extensive experience in the motor industry, with at least 5 years dealership management experience
· Previous experience as a Dealer Principal / General Manager or similar role in a motor industry.
· Strong financial, commercial and operational acumen with proven record of achieving targets
· Solid understanding of Sales, Service, Parts, F & l and Administration
· Excellent communication, negotiation and decision-making abilities
· Valid South African Driver's Licence
· Clear criminal record.
