Job Summary
Basic Requirements:
- Formal Tertiary education: Minimum Grade 12
- Experience: 2-3 years’ experience in logistics/material handling
- Experience in automation industry preferable
- Computer literate (MS Office)
- Languages:
- English – Read, write and speak (required)
- Afrikaans – Read, write and speak (optional)
- Drivers Licence: Code 8- (required)
- Code 10 (advantageous)
Job Objectives:
Receiving stock according to order, checking the following:
- Quantity
- Description
- Price
- Quality
- Allocate stock to specific projects (Accuracy)
- Issuing of all required stock including all project related stock items and consumables to required persons.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Receiving stock according to order, checking the following:
- Quantity
- Description
- Price
- Quality
- Accuracy
- Booking goods to stock or to specific project.
- Dispatching of all required goods with all relevant documents.
- Overdue orders to be followed up daily with Purchasing until received.
- General store duties
- Issuing of all required stock including all project related stock items and consumables to required persons.
- Stock Control – Doing daily checks on consumable and fast-moving items ensuring that stock never runs out.
- Liaising with Purchasers regarding new orders etc.
- General Housekeeping.
- Driving from time to time.
- Stock taking
