Contract Automotive Material Planner, Brits, R22 000

• Minimum of 3 – 5 years Material Planning/Production Planning experience
• Qualification in Business Admin, Distribution, Supply Chain or Logistics management highly advantageous

You will be responsible to:-

• Planning and control over supply chain regarding all relevant production material
• Ensure sufficient material flow to production
• Ensure timeous supply chain gap coverage
• Reporting of material problems
• It is the responsibility of the Material Planner to ensure that urgent or late material will be supplied to the production lines through the correct channels
• Maintain old FIFO dates in the warehouse regarding slow runners and expiry dates
• Forward critical lists to suppliers and follow up with the appropriate corrective action
• Responsible for 2204 and 2604 to reflect the correct stock as indicated
• Responsible for all freight reports, Mocca lists, obsolescence reports, oversupply reports, under supply reports, stock analysis, negative stocks
• Maintain up to date information to production on current out of stock situations
• Ensure material supply to Projects where applicable
• Maintain the MRP by comparing such to the call-offs received from the customer
• Order runs to all relevant suppliers as per given date
• Ensure that suppliers receive these orders at the correct time
• Any general duty/tasks as may be directed by management.

Requirements

• Grade 12 with Maths and Accounting Subjects
• Minimum 2-year relevant experience in administration
• Application of Policies and Procedures
• Computer literate, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook

• Loading the workshop according to capacity requirements

Duties:

• Attend to queries and/or complaints from customers timeously and courteously
• Accurately capture customer information into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
• Handle both Internal sales and Counter Sales
• Compile and send customer sales report to management weekly
• Communicate with customers and suppliers on the delivery of goods and services
• Responsible for processing and managing sales orders
• Responsible for preparing quotations as per customer requirements / queries / using a costing sheet
• Daily ordering of goods and products and helping external sales staff with quotes and orders
• Assist clients with any technical or sales inquiries and to liaise with local suppliers
• Handle telephonic inquiries from customers a professional manner and ensure orders are processed timeously
• Assist the sales team as and when required
