ABOUT THE ROLE
An opportunity is available for an experienced Fridge Mechanic to maintain, diagnose and repair industrial and commercial refrigeration systems, with particular emphasis on ammonia refrigeration and equipment used in the meat industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair ammonia refrigeration systems.
Service industrial refrigeration systems, including simplex and multiplex units.
Maintain and repair truck refrigeration systems.
Perform fault-finding and repairs on refrigeration equipment.
Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
Identify technical problems and implement effective repair solutions.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Relevant hands-on experience as a Fridge Mechanic or Refrigeration Technician.
Practical experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
Experience with industrial refrigeration, preferably within the meat processing industry.
Knowledge of simplex and multiplex refrigeration units.
Experience with truck refrigeration systems will be advantageous.
Strong fault-finding, maintenance and repair skills.
