Qualifications- Matric
- B.com in Computer Science and/or B.com in Data analytics
- Experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Understanding of statistical concepts and analytical techniques
- Basic knowledge of SQL for querying databases
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data cleaning)
- Exposure to ERP or POS systems (SAP)
- Experience in wholesale or retail analytics
- Knowledge of inventory, pricing, and supply chain concepts
- Basic knowledge of Python or R for data analysis
- The Junior Data Analyst supports the organisation by collecting, cleaning, analysing, and visualising data to drive informed decision - making within the wholesale and retail environment.
- This role focuses on analysing sales trends, stock performance, pricing, promotions, customer behaviour, and operational efficiency.
- The ideal candidate is analytical, detail - oriented, and eager to learn within a fast - paced environment.
- Gather data from POS, ERP, CRM, inventory, and finance systems.
- Clean, validate, and prepare datasets for reporting and analysis.
- Maintain data integrity and assist in troubleshooting data issues.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports (sales, stock, margin, shrinkage, promotions, etc.).
- Create dashboards and visualisations using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Support the development of automated reporting processes
- Analyse sales trends, customer purchasing patterns, and product performance.
- Assist in forecasting and demand planning.
- Identify areas of inefficiency, stock risks, or revenue opportunities
- Work closely with merchandising, supply chain, operations, and finance teams.
- Support decision making with clear, concise, data backed insights.
- Participate in ad hoc analytical projects and business improvement initiatives.
- Ensure sensitive business data is handled ethically and securely.
- Assist with maintaining documentation on datasets, processes, and definitions
