Job Summary
Our client in the automotive sector is seeking a strong Functional Accounting Controller reporting to the Finance Manger to perform the following:
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Commerce (professional designation is advantageous e.g. CA (SA), SAIPA, CIMA)
- 3 years’ experience will be advantageous
- Up to date knowledge of IFRS accounting framework and tax legislation
- SAP knowledge as it pertains to Accounting Function
- Excellent Computer literacy in MS Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
- Attention to detail and numerical analysis skills
- Ability to adhere to time constraints
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Responsible for monthly and annual accounts in accordance with Group IFRS and South African IFRS
- Ensure validity and completeness of accruals including commercial accruals
- Prepare the Annual Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS (incl. notes)
- Responsible for the General Ledger accounts, reconciling and reporting to Financial Manager
- Manage the external audit and internal audit process
- Preparation of ad-hoc reports as required by management
- Responsible for tax function, including quarterly and annual group tax reporting, and filing all tax returns with the local tax authority
- Assist with APDP and AIS as required and working capital receipt tracking
- Ensure effective teamwork and process flow between the different departments and Global Shared Services as required
- Support treasury with cash management as required
