ABOUT THE ROLE
An opportunity is available for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain, service and repair a range of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment within an abattoir environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Service and repair 8-ton and 14-ton trucks.
Maintain and repair tractors and front-end loaders.
Service and maintain diesel generators.
Perform fault-finding and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs on diesel-powered equipment.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Relevant hands-on experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
Practical experience maintaining, diagnosing and repairing diesel equipment.
Experience working on trucks, tractors, front-end loaders and diesel generators.
Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to perform servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance independently.
